We invite all members and regular attenders to join one or more ministry groups. We believe that each person God calls here brings God given gifts that are to be used for the building up of the church and the accomplishment of our mission as representatives of Jesus. 

Arts and Aesthetics

The Arts and Aesthetics ministry group seeks to enhance the life of the church with the visual elements of worship, building, and property. Specifically, this ministry group:

• provides flowers and greenery in the sanctuary for Sunday worship
• decorates the sanctuary and church exterior for Advent and Easter
• oversees and funds maintenance of the church landscape in conjunction with the deacons
• coordinates with the deacons for various projects to the physical plant, i.e. selection of paint color, carpet, etc.
• other projects as needed

Building and Grounds

The Building and Grounds Ministry Group is dedicated to maintain the church building and grounds.  In addition this group is responsible for any necessary new additions to or construction of church buildings, grounds, and related properties.

Christian Education

Connecting children to the covenantal community through teaching and discipling. We actively pursue this opportunity by means of Nursery, Little Lambs (preschool education during the sermon), Sunday School and Youth Group. Additionally, we have community outreach events like Vacation Bible School, church festivals, picnics and more!

Discipleship

This ministry group’s mission is to plan, orchestrate, and monitor the educating, training, and equipping of our adult members for works of service and placing them in effective positions of service “so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ”.

Fellowship

The Fellowship Ministry Group’s purpose is to facilitate and encourage friendships and fellowship through various activities throughout the year.

Finance

The Finance MG exists to create and recommend to the board of deacons and through them to the session an annual budget for the church, to review the church’s financial activities in light of the budget and the group’s guidelines, to help the church practice good stewardship and accountability, and to advise the church treasurer on any other financial matters desired.

Mercy

All Christians are charged with being involved in works of mercy.  The Mercy Ministry Group exists to facilitate the church body in its response to mercy needs
from the local Chattanooga community and our own St. Elmo neighborhood. See our current list of groups we support here.

Missions

The Missions Ministry Group sees their mission as educating the church about missions and supporting missions and missionaries through prayer and financial support. See our current list of missionaries here.

Music and Worship

The mission of this group is to reflect God’s glory through musical expression; and to lead, compliment and enrich our response in worship.

Office Support Group

The volunteers of the Office Support Group help with various duties of the church office: large print bulletin, bulletin proofreading, and Sunday morning service sound editing for church website/Soundcloud.com, website maintenance, as well as office needs a couple times a year.
